CLARENS TATTOO STUDIO BOOKING POLICIES

Please read the following booking policies carefully before submitting a booking request or paying a deposit. By booking an appointment and/or paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these policies.

CUSTOM TATTOO AGREEMENT

By booking an appointment, the client understands that the tattoo design is created specifically for them and that the design process forms part of the tattoo service. The client agrees that Clarens Tattoo Studio may photograph the finished tattoo and use photographs of the tattoo and/or artwork for portfolio, website, social media, promotional and marketing purposes. The tattoo itself belongs to the client once completed. However, the original artwork and designs created by the artist remain the intellectual property of Clarens Tattoo Studio unless otherwise agreed in writing.

DEPOSITS & APPOINTMENTS

A deposit is required to secure your appointment. The deposit covers time allocated to the design process and is deducted from the final cost of the tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable. Any request to change or cancel an appointment must be made at least [48] hours before the scheduled appointment. Changes or cancellations made within this period, as well as failure to attend an appointment, will result in the deposit being forfeited. A new deposit will be required to book another appointment. Please understand that appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Late cancellations and no-shows prevent the studio from offering that time to another client.

DESIGN & PRESENTATION

Tattoo designs will generally be presented on the day of the appointment, unless otherwise agreed with the artist. The artist will consider your ideas, references, placement and requirements when creating your tattoo design. Any last-minute changes requested by the client may reduce the amount of time available for tattooing during the scheduled session. The client is responsible for communicating all important details, preferences, references and elements they would like incorporated into their tattoo before the appointment. Once the appointment has started, significant changes to the design may result in reduced tattooing time or may require the appointment to be rescheduled.

ARTIST DISCRETION

Clarens Tattoo Studio specialises in custom tattooing and maintains creative control over the design and tattooing process. References, ideas and inspiration supplied by the client will be considered as part of the creative process. However, the artist may adapt, modify or interpret these ideas to ensure that the final tattoo is suitable for the client's chosen placement, size, style and overall composition. The artist reserves the right to decline a design, modify a concept, or refuse to tattoo work that falls outside their artistic style, capabilities or professional standards. The goal is to create a tattoo that is personal to the client while allowing the artist to produce the strongest possible finished work.

RATES & SESSION STRUCTURE

Rate:
Full Day - ZAR3000
Half-Day - ZAR1500
Per Project/Piece To be discussed - starts from ZAR500
Deposit: 20%

The estimated session length and cost will be discussed with the client before the appointment wherever possible. Sessions may include design adjustments and tattooing time. Payment for the remaining balance is due at the end of each session unless otherwise agreed in advance. The quoted price may vary depending on the final size, detail, placement, design requirements and amount of time required to complete the tattoo.

RESCHEDULING

Clarens Tattoo Studio reserves the right to reschedule an appointment in the event of artist illness, emergency or circumstances beyond the studio's reasonable control. Where the studio needs to reschedule an appointment, the client's deposit will be transferred to the new appointment date. The studio will make reasonable efforts to provide as much notice as possible in these circumstances.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

To help ensure the best possible tattoo experience, please take the following into consideration before arriving for your appointment:

Arrive on time

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Arriving late may reduce the amount of time available for your tattoo session and, depending on the circumstances, may require your appointment to be rescheduled.

Eat before your appointment

Please have a proper meal before your tattoo session and stay hydrated. Tattooing can be physically demanding, and arriving hungry or dehydrated may make the experience more difficult.

Avoid alcohol and recreational substances

Please do not arrive for your appointment under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. The artist reserves the right to refuse to tattoo a client who appears to be intoxicated or impaired. In such circumstances, the deposit may be forfeited.

Wear suitable clothing

Please wear comfortable clothing that provides easy access to the area being tattooed and allows you to remain comfortable throughout your session. Keep in mind that tattoo ink can stain clothing.

Come prepared

Bring any reference material or information that has been discussed with the artist. If you have questions or concerns about your design, placement or tattoo, please raise them before tattooing begins.

Guests

Please keep additional guests to a minimum. The studio may limit the number of people accompanying a client in order to maintain a comfortable, professional and focused working environment.

Be honest with your artist

Please inform the artist of anything that may be relevant to your tattoo session, including allergies, skin concerns, medications or other circumstances that you believe may affect the tattooing process. If you are unsure whether something is relevant, discuss it with your artist before the appointment.

Take care of yourself

Please arrive rested and ready for your session. Depending on the size and complexity of your tattoo, appointments can take several hours.

CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to the Clarens Tattoo Studio Booking Policies and understand that failure to comply with these policies may result in my appointment being cancelled or rescheduled and/or my deposit being forfeited.
